Afke Flaviana (1999) is a dutch Jazz vocalist currently studying at Tilburg’s Academy of Music and Performing Arts (AMPA). Her wide range of interests is reflected in her original work which varies from cute pop-inspired jazz tunes to daring spoken word. This variable exploration is defining her development as an artist.
As a student of Jazz Afke has been involved with Muziekgebouw Eindhoven and ESMG Studentproof Jazz, and has given workshops on vocal improvisation at the University in Eindhoven. Find her performing with her traditional swinging duo Jazz Apples, or with Rock ‘n Roll party band Hootie Tootie. As well as various projects in and surrounding the conservatory.
